The biamped speakers are not wanting for power in most situations. I would prefer the speakers had an auto shutoff or else a power switch on the front so they aren’t turned on all the time. The MDF construction is a logical choice; it avoids coloration and helps maintain consistency of tone from speaker to speaker. The 8 inch woofer is a welcome addition after having sixes in my other pair of monitors
